The GentleMax Pro system uses lasers which selectively target hair follicles. The lasers deliver intense pulses of light energy, resulting in thermal destruction. However, this does not damage the surrounding tissue.
The GentleMax Pro System includes a Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™) which protects the epidermis by spraying the treatment area with a liquid cryogen coolant before each laser pulse. This system offers a protection factor of more than 50% greater than contact or air cooling. We usually advise our beauty salon clients from Leeds on a course of six treatments spread four to six weeks apart. If needed, further top-up sessions will be organised for best results.
Skin Deep Laser & Beauty Clinic advises that you shave the treatment area the night prior to your appointment. Do not wax in the four weeks leading up to your treatment. The laser needs to detect pigment in the follicle to be effective. Avoid exposing the treatment area to direct sunlight for two to four weeks and always use sunscreen to protect your skin.
Following laser hair removal, some clients from the Leeds and Headingley areas may experience mild heat and redness in the treated area. We recommend that you liberally apply aloe vera gel for up to five days to soothe your skin.

Keep out of direct sunlight for at least a two- to four-week period after treatment and, moving forward, always use a Factor 50+ sunscreen for skin protection and optimal results.
